Public Notice Regarding the Opioid Use Disorder Supportive Housing Capital Program

August 12, 2024

New Hampshire Housing is under contract with the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services to administer the Opioid Use Disorder Supportive Housing Capital Program on behalf of the NH Opioid Abatement Trust Fund & Advisory Commission. The program will provide capital funding to projects that create new supportive housing for households with a member who has Opioid Use Disorder and other co-occurring disorders and conditions. NH Housing will receive $6,000,000 per year for three years, with the possibility of continuing the program for another three years with allocations of $6,000,000 per year. NH Housing estimates it will be able to provide financing for up to six projects per year through the Program.

NH Housing has established an advisory committee comprised of stakeholders and subject matter experts who will participate in the Program design and ongoing Program administration guidance. Additionally, NH Housing is seeking community input on the Program design through a Request for Letters of Information (RFLI) for development project descriptions and listening sessions. See below for more information.

NH Housing intends to issue a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Program during its current fiscal year ending in June 2025. More information will be posted regarding the NOFO issue date and other Program updates on NH Housing’s website at NHHousing.org.

Request for Information – Potential Development Projects
NH Housing has posted a RFLI seeking information on prospective supportive housing development projects that may seek Program funding. The purpose is to gather information from potential project sponsors and community stakeholders on the characteristics of development projects to be funded through the Program. The information will be used to inform the Program design. The RFLI can be found here.

Listening Sessions
NH Housing will hold virtual listening sessions to gather community input on the Program design, including Program rules and funding priorities.
