BEA’s Planning Lunches at Noon Monthly Webinar Series |
The next webinar in the NH Office of Planning and Development (OPD) Planning Lunches at Noon (PLAN) Monthly Webinar Series is “Making Zoning Work for Housing in Your Community” on Thursday May 18, 2023, from 12 to 1:30 P.M.
Have you heard there is a shortage of over 23,500 housing units statewide and a need for almost 60,000 new housing units by 2030 and want to do something at the municipal level to incentivize housing production, but not sure where to start? In this webinar Noah Hodgetts, Principal Planner at the NH Office of Planning & Development; Sylvia von Aulock, Executive Director at the Southern New Hampshire Planning Commission; and Stephen Buckley, Legal Services Counsel at the NH Municipal Association will provide strategies to assist community planners and land use boards on possible next steps in addressing housing challenges. The session will detail the different housing tools, data, strategies and resources including funding available for communities interested in implementing planning and zoning changes based on the results of the recently completed Regional Housing Needs Assessments.
