Bronstein Apartments in Nashua demolished to make way for 216 units of new affordable multi-family workforce housing

The former Bronstein Apartments, a 48-unit public housing development in downtown Nashua built in 1974, was recently demolished to make way for “Monahan Manor,” consisting of 216 multi-family units that includes 206 affordable housing units. Households who resided at the former site have been rehoused, and will be offered one of the new apartments when Monahan Manor is completed.  

Monahan Manor will include studios, one-, two-, three-, four-, and five-bedroom units. The co-developers are Nashua Housing and Redevelopment Authority and Boston Capital Development, LLC. Financing is provided by New Hampshire Housing through the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program and State of NH Affordable Housing Fund; additional financing is through RBC, Citizens Bank, FHLB, Eastern Bank, and Genesis Fund.
