Language Access Conference

New Hampshire Legal Assistance and New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority are pleased to present a statewide conference on language access issues, including:

Alexandra Baer from Language Bank will present on how to properly communicate with limited English proficient (LEP) individuals using an interpreter
Iris Coloma-Gaines of the Massachusetts Law Reform Institute will address compliance with the language access requirements of Title VI for federally subsidized housing providers and the components of a good Language Access Plan
Kristen Barry of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will present on the connection between language access issues and discrimination under the federal Fair Housing Act
